Anxiety No More

This month we put the spotlight on Kymberley Carter-Paige from Anxiety No More

Tell us about you and your background.

My name is Kymberley Carter-Paige. I am a mother of three children and four grandchildren. I have lived in Omokoroa and ran my business here for six years, although I work globally over Zoom.

Tell us about your business.

I specialise in helping people take back control of their negative fearful subconscious mind, whether they are suffering from PTSD, panic attacks, anxiety or depression. Whether this is caused by childhood trauma, sexual trauma, war, controlling relationships, or workplace bullying, it all has the same effect on the subconscious program. As a therapist, I use a range of tools to teach my clients to take back control of their triggers and reactions by teaching them about how the subconscious mind and body works. Mental health issues are often misunderstood and many doctors and counsellors don’t have the time to educate. Trauma is held in every cell of the body, and a whole-body approach is required to heal the wounds and triggers.

What makes your business unique?

I have had great success with people who have been suffering from anxiety and PTSD. The client doesn’t have to relive the trauma to have a successful outcome.

How is your business different now from when you first started?

My toolbox has grown. I am constantly upskilling with globally renowned specialists in their field. Right now I am working with a UK therapist who has had massive success with war veterans who have tried every other modality with little or no success.

What is your greatest success? What are you most proud of?

My testimonials, the majority of my business is word-of-mouth and I love to see my clients take back control of their minds and their lives after only a few sessions.

What is a significant challenge facing your business/industry right now?

People lack the finances to pay for the services. I am looking at setting up a PHA (People’s Health Alliance) Health Hub in Omokoroa, to work with other alternative therapists and look at ways we can raise funds to help those clients who cannot pay or help pay something towards their treatments. I would love to offer my services for free but unfortunately, I have bills to pay too.

What is one common misconception about your industry?

That using hypnotherapy the therapist takes control of the client’s mind. That is completely false. I help the client take back control of the programs that have been making them feel powerless all of their lives. It is teaching them the tools to be able to heal their own trauma from within.

If you could share one piece of advice with the business community, what would that be?

If you are scared of getting no’s in your business or nervous about selling yourself, maybe there is an underlying program of “I am not good enough” that needs addressing. This could stem from something as small as a parent going away when you were young, and as a child feeling rejected. Or living with a difficult parent or partner and needing to please others all the time. Maybe your parents argued about money, which left you with a subconscious belief that money is bad. Many of my clients have had those issues and as soon as they release them, their earning potential has risen within months.

Understanding when your body is going into trigger and why, can really help you move away from fear and help you to enjoy your business more. Success is all in the mind.
