As you all have probably heard this years Omokoroa Coastal Challenge is on the morning of Sunday October 29th, based at the Omokoroa Sports Grounds and all proceeds go to the building of a new Sport Pavilion. To help keep our competitors safe on the roads we are asking if members of the community, who don’t want to enter the event, would volunteer to be Marshalls. This year we are using the Land Search and Rescue Team for our First Aid and Marshalling and so you will be working with and be co-ordinated by them. This is a fun way to cheer on the competitors and watch all the action. At the very most you will need to be at your post for 2 and a half hours and you are welcome to take a chair to sit on.
We also need some volunteers to help run our Bouncy Castle and Sumo suits fun activities. This involves taking money and monitoring who is having a turn etc. Hopefully we will get enough offers of help that you could do a 1 hour shift.
We very much appreciate any offers of help as without you our event is much harder to co-ordinate and run safely. If you are interested please either phone Catherine on 548 1662 or email runrunrunOmokoroa@gmail.com. Thank you
