Arataki Omanu Scout Group has invited William Pike to come and speak to the local community about stepping outside their comfort zone. It is on Thursday the 6th of June (next Thursday) 7pm and tickets are $20 (or $15 for venturers and rovers)
Come and understand how to navigate and help your kids through this fast paced, ever changing world.
This event is a fundraiser for 7 of the groups youth to attend the 22nd National Scout jamboree held at Mystery Creek in December.
William Pike’s tenacious passion for life has helped him to overcome serious challenges, tackle new opportunities and enrich his skills as leader.
Losing a leg after being trapped in a volcanic eruption on Mt Ruapehu has not changed William’s outlook on life.
An impassioned teacher, he leads a nationwide youth development programme, teaching Kiwi kids they, too, can do anything they put their minds to.
William Pike is a proud Kiwi, fanatical outdoorsman and a role model to 1000’s of youth around NZ who participate in the William Pike Challenge Award, a popular youth development programme.
William won’t be just sharing his wild stories, he’s going to RELIVE THEM with YOU. He will challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone and be an explorer in YOUR world.
