TWIF
The next TWIF night is Friday, 17th August from 6pm. This is Friday next week.
August TWIF was advertised as a Whakamarama School Hangi Fundraiser, unfortunately this has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We will send an update next week if food will be available. On the evening Whakamarama School will have representatives on hand selling tickets to their joint fundraiser on Friday 7th September at 16th Ave Theatre to see the show The 39 Steps. A comedy, thriller, spy novel. Tickets $30 each, includes show and supper.
Fundraising Opportunities
The Hall Committee are proud to present a fundraising opportunity for non profit organisations or individual needing to raise money. We are making the Hall kitchen available for catering on TWIF nights, third Friday of every month, plus other local events such as Harvest Festival, Upcycle Whakamarama, etc. Food will be serviced between 6 and 7pm, and should be family friendly. The menu can be as simple or elaborate as you want, but must be cost effective. Last month Whakamarama Playgroup raised nearly $200 selling around 40 meals at $5 each, plus raffle tickets. For more details or to book your fundraiser contact Debbie Allan (Booking Officer) 552 5141 or whakahallbookings@outlook.com
Our Kitchen is available this Friday, 17th August, if any group are interested. The food could be something as simple as Pizza or Hot Dogs.
