Omokoroa Medical Centre will not be open on Thursday 26/10/17 as the owners of the power lines (Powerco) have scheduled some routine maintenance in the area and are shutting down the power to the whole complex.
We have made desperate appeals to Powerco to re-schedule the work but unfortunately they are unwilling to do so and so we have no choice but to close.
It is our understanding that this will also mean a closure to the other services located at 170 Omokoroa Road too (but please check with them directly if you wish to know more)
Patients are advised there will be a limited amount of appointments available at our sister Practice in Bethlehem (Bethlehem Medical Centre – 07 5764883) but please restrict booking these to those that are truly urgent or you will overwhelm that service (and bear in mind that the Doctor you see will of course not know you so well)
Alternatively, if you need urgent medical care you can go to Accident and Healthcare on 2nd Ave in Tauranga or in the event of an emergency please call 111.
Thank you so much for your understanding but unfortunately this closure is completely beyond our control.
We will of course be back open for business on Friday (27/10/17) and thereafter but please accept our apologies in advance as there may be a small wait for appointments as we catch-up on those that were lost.
