Monarch butterflies are busy breeding on swan plants where they can find them. Unfortunately, the caterpillars can quickly chomp through a swan plan so it is important to have multiple plants. If you have swan plants but no caterpillars, I have plenty to give away. There are many wasps around (paper wasps, German and common wasps) and these will predate on the caterpillars so identifying nests and dealing to them is important (check out ‘Wasp Wipe-out’ initiative.
