With all the devastating weather events happening around the world over the last few months, no surprises that we’ve picked climate change as the topic for our next evening of films and discussion. We have a selection of short, informative and inspiring films, followed by a panel discussion with retired climate scientist Chad Dick – what he has to say might differ a bit to what we learn from the mainstream media, so don’t miss this opportunity! Film Night co-organiser Andrew Martin will follow up with some real-world actions each of us can be doing to create resilience against climate disasters in our lives and our community. We’d love to hear your views, too, and there’ll be plenty of time for Q&A.
As always, we’ll have a great selection of local folk promoting their wares or their message at tables in the entrance. This week among them will be Kazel Cass and Tui Mincher promoting the new Tauranga Seed Library. You’re welcome to bring along your own saved seeds (bagged and labelled), to take seeds from the library, and to ask Kazel and Tui all about how a seed library works.
We look forward to meeting you or catching up with you. See you there!

Katikati local! Chad Dick – seen here with a perfectly innocuous ice core – will share his two decades of experience working around the world as a climate scientist.
