A reminder – the first Junction Coffee and Chat for Ōmokoroa takes place today at the Community Church on Hamurana Road from 11am-12pm. It would be great to see you.
It helps to share with others – tea or coffee and friends; the perfect blend to help relax and bring some sunshine through the cloud of isolation.
It’s a mental health support group for the community, to meet others who can sit alongside us over a free cuppa – as we support one another to fully live a good quality of life.
The idea is to have a friendly, safe environment for peers to get together and socialise, discuss life and what is happening for them. It’s a public environment and isn’t designed for in-depth discussion of health and illness for safety reasons.
It’s about having respect and understanding towards all involved and how they may be feeling. It’s hoped it’ll take place on the last Monday each month, depending on interest.
Those in nearby Pahoia, Whakamārama and Te Puna are also most welcome. Any questions? Feel free to text Matthew on 027 549 5410. Thank you.
