Kayelene Place again in the spot light, this time at number 20, which is the Reindeer house with the big park in the front yard and the stone wall. On rubbish day, today, a dog owner decided to put their dog’s foul, be it in a green plastic bag, in our empty rubbish bin. Please do not break into others bubble by putting rubbish in any domestic bin, especially stinky dog poo! Very annoying. This behaviour, which I like to give the benefit of the doubt, as possibly not entirely thought through. If we touch a surface outside our bubble then we put ourselves and others at risk. Safe to stay the bin has been wiped down with disinfectant. I have left the said dog poo outside our gate sitting on a small services box as an obvious action to grab the attention of the offender. If you are a subscriber to Cyberlink, then do the right thing… come and collect it please. When we make mistakes I like to think of it is a learning opportunity. The majority of dog owners are awesome and do the right thing 99 percent. We are not perfect by any means but we give it our best. Let’s get Kayelene Place back on track as the best street ever.
Update 23 April
“I posted a note about a misguided act by an individual by depositing poo in our letter box.
On a positive note: the offending faeces has been collected off the little box at our gate by some one? Who is the question we will be asking.
1. The person who left it in our bin, noticed it left out in the open and connected the dots and did the right thing and took it home?
2. Another kind dog owner or person walking past our house decided to pick it up and deposit it in their own bin?
3. Or you came around and collect it?
Who ever it was, I applaud them. We really do live in a responsible and kind community and this proves it.
Thank you Omokoroa for being the best place to live on earth. “
