Come along and join the senior students from Omokoroa Point School for an hour or so and help plant out 500 assorted Oioi, Wiwi, Tenex and Muelunbeckia.
WBPDC has supplied the plants and arranged for weeds in the area being planted to be sprayed off and the holes for the plants will be drilled for us by the contractor.
The area is pretty damp underfoot so gumboots are the preferred footwear.
Bring you own gloves and spade etc. (And raincoat if needed)
Meet in the Cooney Reserve carpark for a 1 p.m. start on Thursday 16 August.
Many hands make light work, and all that!
Come along and contribute to making our Peninsula Paradise even better..
